Welcome
to Grape Getaways, offering day trips from New York City to wineries on Long
Island, the Hudson Valley, and beyond. We have been offering excursions to wine country since 2004.
Our typical trip includes a prompt morning departure from midtown at 9:30 AM, visits
to approximately 3 wineries, and a return back to Manhattan in time for supper
at
roughly 6:30 pm, depending on traffic. From time to time we also organize weekend trips as well, such as our special "Winter Wine Weekend" held last March and our upcoming “Spring Wine Weekend” to be held on May 17/18th. Our goal is to visit a variety of wineries each season - so no single trip is the same.
Each excursion includes round trip transportation, lunch, tours and tastings at the wineries as well as wine appreciation pointers. Time permitting we may also stop at a local farm stand. We try to make our trips fun and informative. Naturally, you will also be able to purchase wine while visiting the wineries. What better way to make new friends while enjoying a trip to the countryside (and of course, you leave the driving to us!)

OUR 2008 SEASON |
Our first excursion this year will take place on Saturday, May 3rd when we venture out to the picturesque North Fork of Long Island. We’ll be visiting Paumanok, Martha Clara Vineyards, and the new Duck Walk tasting room in Southold. For more information about our May 3rd trip go to Trip Info. May 17th – 18th is our “Spring Wine Weekend”, a two day trip with an overnight stay at a country inn on scenic Shelter Island (please note if you are interested in this weekend trip please contact Dean at (212) 675-0344 (or the email form on the contact page ).
