Welcome
to Grape Getaways, offering day trips 
from New York City to wineries on Long
Island, the Hudson Valley, and beyond. We have been offering excursions to wine country since 2004.
Our typical trip includes a prompt morning departure from midtown at approximately 9:15 AM, visits
to approximately 3 wineries, and a return back to Manhattan in time for supper
at
roughly 6:30 pm, depending on traffic. From time to time we also organize trips where we have lunch at a restaurant (versus a casual box lunch at a winery.) We occasionally also organize full weekend excursions. Our goal is to visit a variety of wineries each season - so no single trip is the same.
Each excursion includes round trip transportation, lunch, tours and tastings at the wineries as well as wine appreciation pointers. Time permitting we may also stop at a local farm stand. We try to make our trips fun and informative. Naturally, you will also be able to purchase wine while visiting the wineries. What better way to make new friends while enjoying a trip to the countryside (and of course, you leave the driving to us!)
